Health Practitioner Support

Working in healthcare is both rewarding and demanding. Alongside clinical expertise, health professionals are often required to navigate uncertainty, communicate complex information, manage strong emotions, build therapeutic relationships, and support patients through some of the most challenging experiences of their lives.

Drawing on two decades of experience working alongside both healthcare professionals and patients, I provide individual psychological support and consultation for clinicians seeking to enhance their wellbeing, confidence, communication, and effectiveness in practice.

My work is practical, reflective, and tailored to your individual needs. Together, we can explore what happens within consultations, identify recurring themes and challenges, and develop strategies that can be applied immediately in clinical practice. My goal is to help health professionals feel more confident, connected, and effective in their work while maintaining their own wellbeing and continuing to provide high-quality, compassionate care.

What Makes This Different?

Having worked extensively with both healthcare professionals and medical patients, I bring an understanding of what happens on both sides of the consultation room.

I understand the realities of healthcare systems, the pressures clinicians face, and the emotional demands of patient care. I also have insight into the experiences of patients navigating illness, fertility treatment, cancer, chronic health conditions, grief, and uncertainty.

This perspective helps bridge the gap between what clinicians are trying to communicate and what patients are often experiencing.

The Human Side of Healthcare

Many clinicians feel pressure to provide answers, solve problems, and reduce uncertainty.

Yet patients are often seeking something different, for example, honest information, clear guidance, understanding, human connection, and a sense of being heard.

A particular focus of my work is helping clinicians feel more comfortable navigating uncertainty while remaining present, authentic, and effective. Patients do not expect perfection. More often, they want a trusted professional who can guide them through uncertainty with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
