My Approach

Many people seek therapy during times of stress, uncertainty, change, or when they find themselves feeling stuck. Whether facing a health challenge, fertility difficulties, anxiety, relationship concerns, grief, or a major life transition, therapy can provide an opportunity to step back, make sense of what is happening, and identify a way forward.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and evidence-based. I view therapy as a partnership, where we work together to understand your experiences, identify what is most important to you, and develop strategies that support meaningful change.

Rather than applying a single therapeutic model, I integrate a range of evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), grief-focused approaches, and other therapies tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Sessions are typically conversational and reflective, while also incorporating practical tools and strategies that can be applied in everyday life. Together, we explore patterns that may be contributing to difficulties, develop new perspectives, strengthen existing skills, and build confidence in responding to life's challenges.

I believe people are often doing the best they can with the resources available to them. Therapy provides an opportunity to develop new skills, access untapped strengths, and create greater flexibility in how we respond to difficult situations.

My aim is for clients to leave sessions with both greater understanding and something practical to take away—whether that is a new perspective, a skill to practise, or a clearer sense of the next step forward.
